Webinar "AI Applications on EO-Lab" held 2022-12-01

Dr Florian Albrecht (Project Manager at Spatial Services GmbH) started the webinar with the topic AI applications in Earth observation. Dr Albrecht then described how to set up a Virtual Machine with GPU on EO-Lab and how to equip it with drivers and software for programming deep learning methods.

In the second part of the webinar, examples with TensorFlow and PyTorch were presented.

Vanessa Streifeneder, MSc (researcher at the Department of Geoinformatics at the University of Salzburg) showed an application example for semantic segmentation of Sentinel-2 data with TensorFlow, while Getachew Workineh Gella, MSc. (researcher at the Department of Geoinformatics at the University of Salzburg), concluded the webinar with an application example using PyTorch.
